Brooke was a varsity starter and played in all 25 games this season for Waterford High School who finished with a record of 21-4.

Brooke was named first team All-TVC and second team All-District 13.

Brooke averaged 6.8 ppg. (4th on team) and shot 37.4% from the field and 26.3% from the 3pt. line.

Brooke led the team in assists with 3.84 per game, was also third on the team in steals and free throw percentage (71.1%) and was fourth on the team in rebounding.

Waterford won the TVC for 6th consecutive year. Won the Sectional and District Championship for the 5th consecutive year and finished Regional runners-up to Harvest Prep who won the state championship.

Waterford has made it to the Sweet 16 five years in a row and has made it to the Elite 8 twice in those five years. Waterford played a very tough non-conference schedule including Marietta, North Canton Hoover, Cincinnati Indian Hills(OGBR Classic in the Country), and Parkersburg South.

Brooke has attended the OGBR camp at Denison for the past two years and is attending again this summer. Brooke has been invited to attend the OGBR TOP 64 the last two years. OGBR has ranked Brooke as one of the Top 50 freshman in the state of Ohio.

Brooke played in 33 games on the Ohio Express 13U Lane team. The team finished with a 21-12 record and won the GBA Athens Classic and GBA Slippery Rock Classic (14U Division).

Brooke scored 155 points in 33 games for an average of 4.7 points per game. She shot 47 of 121 from the field for 38.8%, 13 of 44 on three-point field goals for 29.5%, and 22 of 39 from the free throw line for 56.4%.

Brooke led the team in assist with 109 assists (3.3 per game), was second on the team in steals (1.33 per game), and average 3.5 rebounds per game as well.

Brooke played in 44 games for the Ohio Express 12U Lane team that finished with a 29-15 record and won the GBA Athens Classic and GBA Cambridge Shootout.

The 12U Lane team finished 4th in the AAU DQT in Ohio in 2008.

Brooke scored 226 points in 44 games for an average of 5.14 points per game. Brooke's high game of the season was 16 points against the Cincy Legend at the AAU District Qualifying Tournament.

I have had the pleasure of coaching Brooke Drayer for two seasons throughout the spring/summer season. Our team played against some of the best teams in the state and throughout the nation as well as playing up an age division in most tournaments during our two seasons together. Brooke, as well as her other teammates, welcomed the challenge of playing against top-notch competition and up an age division.

Brooke is a natural point-guard who sees the floor extremely well. Brooke is very versitile, she can play an up-tempo game and is also capable of slowing the game down and playing in a half-court game. Brooke can score off of the dribble and she can use the dribble to set up scoring opportunities for her teammates. One way or another, Brooke can make good things happen on the floor from the point-guard position. I don't think there's an offensive scheme that Brooke would not be successful in.

Brooke is also capable of playing at the 2-guard or 3-guard positions as she has a very good shot from the perimeter and understands how to use the shot-fake and jab-step to create spacing to create a shot or a dribble drive opportunity.

Defensively, Brooke is a solid on-ball and help-side defender. Brooke understands how to adjust her defensive pressure and positioning accordingly to the skill sets of the offensive player she is defending. Brooke understands how to play team defense and rebounds very well from the point-guard position.

I recommend Brooke Drayer to any coach who is looking for a point-guard with a high level of basketball intelligence as well as a versitile skill set. Brooke can be a scoring point-guard or a distributor and defends very well. Brooke is capable of running any offensive system and can play at a fast or a slow tempo.

Brooke is ranked as one of the top 50 freshman in the state of Ohio by the OGBR and for good reason. Brooke is a solid all-around player and has two older sisters that have went on to play collegiate basketball.

I would be glad to answer any questions in regards to Brooke, please contact me at the phone number below for more information.

Sincerely,
Mark Lane
